My art is a reflection of how I interpret and extrapolate the
world. It is based on emotions, politics, and research. I
look to find myself in my art and how I relate to it. The art
I create is as much a part of me as I am a part of it. I try
to be as honest about my art as I can; which is not always so,
after all images on a plane are still an illusion, a mental
picture put on a surface. In no means do I attempt to
trivialize art; images and artifacts help us understand and
identify humanity, cultures and history.
This drive inside compels me to create
art; it is like breathing for me. Art is a release for me. I
have fervor and love for creating art; I just hope someday I
can make a living doing just that.
Most of my current art is very patriotic
in a pop art style. With pop culture turning its attention to
great Americana – Comic Books – my work has become a
reflection of the moment. We live in the greatest country in
the world and I express that through my art. I derive my work
from current and historical news.
